On Sunday July 24, 2016 the 2016 edition of City People Entertainment Awards was held at Yard 158, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos.
At the event, Nigerian and Ghanaian entertainers were recognized. While Shatta Wale may be an outcast at the VGMAs year by year, certainly not other award events, as he won the Ghanaian Musician Of The Year Award at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
